Nathalie Smit BA (intern January-June 2020)

Nathalie Smit is a Research Master student Historical, Literary and Cultural Studies at Radboud University Nijmegen and is interning in the SKILLNET project. She received a BA in English Language and Culture and a BA in History from Radboud University Nijmegen in 2018. Her research interests include women’s participation in scientific research in the Early Modern period, particularly the forms and methods of publication they applied to publish their scientific discoveries and opinions. In the SKILLNET project she will be assisting Dirk van Miert in his research into the Spanish Republic of Letters, Ingeborg van Vugt with formatting the data generated by the crowdsourcing project CEMROL, and Karen Hollewand by testing out text-mining tools for Early Modern texts.
