Manuel Llano MA (PhD candidate February 2018-September 2021)

Manuel Llano is a PhD candidate in the SKILLNET project. He studied Philosophy of Culture and Media Studies at Leiden University, after earning a degree in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Madrid. His research interests include book history, the interplay between scholarly communications and intellectual developments in early modern Europe, and new lines of enquiry afforded by digital methods. His doctoral research focuses on the structure of the networks of the Republic of Letters. Using tools from social network analysis, he examines how the social fabric of this community developed chronologically and geographically.
