Dirk Hooijer (intern February-July 2021)

Dirk Hooijer is a BA student in History at Utrecht University and is interning in the SKILLNET project. Dirk is mostly interested in the cultural history of the Early Modern and Modern period, with a focus on themes like memory culture, nationalism and a preference for the French language and culture. For the SKILLNET project he will dig into the notion of the Republique des Lettres in the public sphere in 19th-century France.
